Metro Darts Competition – Team Wrap Up
What a fantastic showing from our crews at this year’s Metro Darts competition! We proudly entered five teams across three divisions, and every group represented us with commitment, sportsmanship, and great teamwork—despite a few late week lineup changes that could have easily thrown us off balance.
Division 2
Perth 1 – Silver Medal
A huge congratulations to the Perth 1 team for securing the silver medal after a strong campaign.
Players: Josh Borovina, Jade Ledington, Adam Johnson, Gavin Horner, Tom Hunt, Dave Jones.
Perth 2 – 5th Place
Perth 2 battled hard for a well earned fifth place finish. We’ll happily blame the early results on being one player short for the first two games on Sunday! Special mention to Tony Lowe, who made the long Sunday morning drive from Jurien Bay only to be pleasantly surprised that he’d be taking the oche in the final game.
Players: Edward Oversby, Michael Eva, Douglas Kickett, Kevin May, Anthony McIntosh, Shane Roberts, Tony Lowe
Division 3
Perth 3 – 4th Place
A solid effort saw Perth 3 finish just outside the medals in fourth place.
Players: Shannon Isaacs, James Borsi, Grant Nicholson, Zac Jones, Darren Hutchinson, Paul Kickett
Division 4
Perth 5 – Silver Medal
Another silver medal for the books—well done to the Perth 5 team for an impressive Division 4 performance.
Players: Jim Parry, Justin Topliss, Gary French, Kyle French, Pieter Neethling, Ricky Morton
Perth 4 – 5th Place
Perth 4 rounded out Division 4 with a strong effort to secure fifth place.
Players: Riki Ledington, Laurie Oversby, Jaxon Troughton, Jason Eaton, Joram Ward, Hedley McAvoy
Despite several last minute changes on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, every team pulled together and had a remarkable impact on the darting scene. Your adaptability and commitment shone through across all divisions.
I am extremely proud of every member who represented us. Well done, everyone!
